Updated 2 October 2026. These terms cover the website, JSON API and MCP plugin operated as pound.one.

What the service provides

pound.one provides free calculations and illustrations using stored public data. No pound.one account or payment is required. Sources, dates and assumptions accompany results. “Now” means the latest stored observation, and different series may have different dates.

Using the results

Results are estimates for general information, not personalised tax, investment or financial advice. Check the source data and assumptions before relying on a result for a decision or filing. Income calculations cover England, Wales and Northern Ireland and omit circumstances described in the calculation notes; Scotland is not supported by the MCP income tool.

You may use and share calculator results and their links. Preserve material dates, scope and caveats when presenting them. Source datasets retain their providers’ terms; using pound.one does not grant additional rights to those datasets.

Availability and reasonable use

The service may change or be temporarily unavailable, and we do not promise uninterrupted access or error-free results. Do not interfere with the service, try to access its private administration, or use it to process information you have no right to disclose. Automated use is welcome; repeated retries should use backoff. Access may be restricted to protect service availability.

Privacy and questions

The privacy notice describes request processing and analytics. See support for connection help and reporting problems. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
